Season 2008/09 Wrap-up
We had a great season with the car, competing in 9 different events and racing for the first time at Lismore and Cairns. Some of the highlights were some strong finishes, with 2nd in 2 of the Qld Modified Production Series rounds, at Lismore and Maryborough. The not-so-high lights would have to be blowing the engine up twice this season, and both times have been at Maryborough.
We are looking forward to another good season of Modified Production racing in 2009/10. Rodney & Cathy
In the off-season Rodney had the chance to take the racecar into our boy's school to let the children have a close-up look at the car and all the racegear. The children were all quite excited, and the boys especially had a lot of questions - mostly about the crashes!
The season is kicking off again soon with a Practice night on at Brisbane on 3rd October and at Charlton on 9th October. The first race meeting is scheduled for November 7th at Charlton, though with Rodney's harvest commitments which usually see him away for the majority of November, we will have to see what happens as the time comes a little closer.
